Here's a selection of signage projects I did for my time at Whole Foods Market.
Godzilla 2014
I decided to join in on the fun of creating a poster for the new Godzilla movie. Considering that Godzilla is massive in size and came from nuclear radiation, I wanted to emphasize and illustrate that.
The Bite was originally a one-piece school project that I continued tweaking and expanding upon in the following years. Inspired by the movie monsters of the black and white era, who spread their curse with vicious bites, and the funny fact that the taste of a beer is sometimes referred to as it's "bite," I got the spark of inspiration to combine the two into a frighteningly good alcoholic beverage.
Here are the samples of the bottle wraps, a packaging mockup, and promotional stickers.
Part of a poster series done for my senior capstone. My choice was to create three posters of my favorite horror stories from childhood. At the time, there was also a trend going around re-made horror posters of making them look like they were on crumpled pieces of paper, and after some experimentation I liked the look on my posters as well. It helps give them that feeling of being well-used and spread around, like any good horror story.
The Ribbajack
This story is certainly my all-time favorite horror story. A monster that can be made real from someone's hatred for another person, and it reflects that person's rage and loathing.
Highbeams
This tale is one of the most classic babysitter-style tales of terror, and it still frightens me to this day. A woman driving home alone, late at night, pursued endlessly by a mysterious driver behind her that constantly flashes his highbeams at her? Terrifying!
The Fall of the House of Usher
In this case, I had to be careful not to imitate the posters that had already been done for movie versions of this classic Poe tale, but that became easier once I had started going with a more graphic style for all of my posters.
Posters Without Borders
Poster done for Posters Without Borders exhibition.
Posters Without Borders is an invitational poster exhibition by artists all over the world to explore the subject of immigration.
Social posters done for my class project. I chose to concentrate on emotional abuse, because it is so often overlooked in cases.
A calligram logo (my personal favorite style of logo) of my favorite animal: the super-speedy cheetah!
The branding for a fictitious movie memorabilia company. The logo is based on both the aperture of a camera, referring to film, and the stars of Hollywood on the walk of fame. The target audience was people in their mid-to-later years, trying to invoke the nostalgia they feel when they watch or remember their favorite movies. Here are some samples of the brochure, which would be sent out to subscribers and investors, the website on both desktop and mobile, and advertisements for the general public.
Innovation Nation
My group's idea for the National Student Advertising Competition 2011-2012. The competition's sponsor that year was Nissan, who wished to find a way to reach multicultural millennials. If you wish to see the full book, please contact me.
Lindi SS 2016
I designed and laid out the lookbook for Lindi Clothing's Spring/Summer 2016 issue, to be sent out to homes across the country for women to peruse and then order from it. If you wish to see the full book, please contact me.
E-Dreams
Poster done for the assignment in Visual Communications, based on the poem "E-Dreams," which writes about dreaming of many things swirling around the dreamer.
VisCom Show
My idea for the annual Visual Communications show my college holds.
Some illustration work I've done.
The Bells
Scratchboard portraying Edgar Allen Poe's The Bells.
Binkie 2.0
New Yorker cover parodying the parents replacement of the binkie with their technology.
A spot of tea
Originally a screen printing project that I took into Photoshop, cleaned up, and redid in colors I felt fit the mood of this piece more.
